Is This You?

Who Is This For?

Who This Is For:

  • You own an auto repair shop doing $1M or more a year: independent, franchise or multi-location.
  • Your CPA shows up in April, files the return and disappears until next year.
  • You find out what you owe after the year is over, and the number keeps catching you off guard.
  • Your books don't match your shop management system, so the reports don't tell you much.
  • You've financed a truck or a lift in December mostly for the write-off.
  • You run more than one location, or you're planning the next one.
  • You'd rather hand the books, the planning and the filing to a team that already knows shops.

This Is Not For:

  • Employees who don't own a business.
  • Shops doing under $1M a year.
  • Owners who just want someone to file their taxes and stay out of the way.
  • Anyone hunting for a Montana LLC trick or the latest loophole from a shop owner group.
  • Owners who want to keep personal and business expenses in the same account.

100% Done-For-You

Here's Everything We Do For You

How a year with Kaizen runs, from the first look at your books to the return you sign.

We Review Your Books And Returns

Before anything changes, we go through your financials and tax returns on our own, find the gaps and map out the opportunities your last accountant missed.

We Rebuild Books Around Your Shop

We restructure your books to match your shop management system, with parts and labor margins broken out and every location tracked on its own profit and loss.

We Close Your Books Every Month

We have your data by the 10th, and clean, reconciled financials are in your hands by the 25th. If you're in a coaching group, we line up our timelines with theirs.

We Plan Your Taxes All Year

We look at how you pay yourself, how the shop is set up as a company and the equipment you already need, then put each move in place before December 31st.

We Prepare And File The Return

By the time we file, the hard work is already done. Notice and audit protection comes with your annual filing, so if a letter shows up, we handle the response.

Payroll And Regular Advisor Meetings

Payroll can run through YPD HCM, our sister company, and depending on your package, your advisor meets with you every quarter or every month to make decisions using this month's numbers.

Making the change to Kaizen was like going from the Little League to the MLB. I know I will have great data moving forward to make calculated decisions vs my '2 Beers and a checkbook' process!

They already understand how a shop like ours operates, including labor, parts margins, payroll structures, and cash flow dynamics, so there was no learning curve.

A lighthouse in a world of what feels like confusion and darkness. I can confidently say that I literally could not run my business without Kaizen.

Frequently Asked Questions

I already have a CPA. Do you work with shops like mine?+
Yes. Many of the shops we work with came to us after years with a generalist CPA. That CPA usually filed on time and got the forms right. They just didn't specialize in auto repair, so nobody looked at parts margins, labor costs or how you get paid until the year was over.
Isn't switching accountants a huge pain?+
Less than most owners expect, because we do the heavy lifting. You meet your team on a kickoff call, we sit down for a strategy session, then we get access to your bank and software, catch up prior months where needed and set your books up to match your shop management system. Most clients tell us the hardest part was deciding to make the move.
Do I have to buy a new truck or lift to lower my taxes?+
No. Our rule is to buy assets, not deductions. If you genuinely need the equipment, we time the purchase so the deduction lands in the year it helps most. The bigger wins usually cost nothing up front: salary versus draws, how the shop is set up, how the building is owned and the elections we make.
Is this legit, or another Montana LLC trick?+
It's the opposite of a trick. We use what's written into the tax law for business owners, like the right S corp salary, paying state tax at the business level where your state allows it, the full qualified business income deduction and a retirement plan set up before December 31st. Because we keep your books every month, the records behind each move are already in place.
Why hasn't my current CPA brought any of this up?+
Most CPAs file your taxes, send you a bill and disappear until next year. That's not a knock on them, it's how most firms are built. By April the year has closed, so the return can only report what you already did.
How much does it cost?+
Our pricing is published: monthly packages run $500 to $800 for Essentials, $750 to $1,600 for Plus and $2,000 to $5,000+ for Premier, plus a one-time $2,500 onboarding fee, with annual tax filings billed separately. For example, a single shop doing about $1.2M pays $1,125 a month plus $2,992 for its annual filings. If your books need catching up, each month we catch up is billed at your monthly fee, and your exact number is quoted up front on the call.
Is it too late to lower my 2026 taxes?+
No, but the calendar matters. Most of the moves that cut your 2026 bill, like the equipment you put into service, the retirement plan you open and how you pay yourself, only count if they're finished before December 31st. The savings show up when your 2026 return is filed.
What happens on the strategy call?+
We start with your shop: revenue, locations, how you pay yourself and what you paid in taxes for 2025. Then we show you where the 2026 bill looks higher than it has to be and which moves still count before December 31st. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.
One Last Step

Ready To See What Your Shop Is Overpaying In Taxes?

On the strategy call, we look at your revenue, your locations and how you pay yourself. You'll see where your 2026 bill is higher than it has to be and which moves still count before December 31st.
